HOW A FASS FUEL FUEL SYSTEM CAN IMPROVE YOUR CLASS 8 TRUCK’S MILEAGE PERFORMANCE
August 12, 2019

Overland trucking puts a lot of wear and tear on your fuel injection system. Water, dirt, air, and vapor gradually accumulate and entrain causing decreases in fuel delivery performance that ultimately affect your fuel mileage. Your stock fuel filter can only do so much to compensate for the buildup of entrained air and vapor as well as excess dirt and other particulates that accumulate over time in your fuel tanks. Luckily, there is a better way to filter and improve your fuel system’s performance.  The FASS Titanium Signature Series fuel system has a filtration rating of 2 microns which is far superior to your stock factory filter and helps improve your overland fuel mileage which can impact your bottom line.

How much can a FASS Titanium Signature Series fuel system improve your mileage performance? Although we can’t guarantee it, with most Caterpillar A, B or mechanical C engines or similar type engines with barrel and plunger (P-pump) type fuel systems, FASS customers typically experience an increase of .7-.9mpg (up to 80,000 lbs. load, less on heavier loads) and 2 gears on the hills. If you drive on average 150,000-200,000 miles per year that is an estimated savings of $4,500-$6,000 per year using an average of $3.00 per gallon diesel fuel cost.

Have we gotten your attention with those cost savings? If so, let’s take the conversation further and see how FASS can help your owner – operator trucking business improve it’s fuel mileage performance and bottom line.
