Our Story

⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪ ˖

FASS, short for Fuel Air Separation Systems, was founded by Brad Ekstam in the early 2000s after years of developing the concept in his garage. He saw that diesel engines often suffered from issues like poor fuel mileage, hard starts, and injector damage caused by air, vapor, and contaminants in fuel. To address this, he designed a system that combined a lift pump with advanced filtration, capable of removing dirt, water, and entrained air before the fuel reached the engine. What began as a small-scale project grew quickly into a trusted brand in the diesel aftermarket industry. Today, FASS systems are built in Missouri and are widely used in pickup trucks, agricultural equipment, and heavy-duty applications, valued for their reliability, performance, and protection of critical engine components.

Our Mission

Fuel clean. Power strong. Protect your engine—that’s the FASS promise.

Why is it important?

Dirty fuel means trouble — with air, water, and particles flowing into your engine, you risk costly repairs and lost performance.

  • Protects engine components by keeping contaminants out of injectors and fuel system.
  • Prevents fuel-related failures like clogged injectors or poor combustion.
  • Improves performance by ensuring clean fuel reaches the engine consistently.
  • Extends engine life by reducing wear from dirt and water in fuel.
  • Reduces maintenance costs by minimizing damage and the need for repairs.

Or

  • Keeps injectors clean and protected.
  • Prevents fuel system failures.
  • Improves engine performance.
  • Extends engine life and lowers repair costs.

What is it?

A FASS fuel system combines pumping power and advanced filtration to ensure your engine only receives pure, reliable fuel.

  • It’s a fuel filtration and lift pump system for diesel engines.
  • Designed to remove dirt, rust, and water from diesel fuel.
  • Helps protect the fuel injectors and engine from damage.
  • Often includes a water trap to separate and drain water.
  • Provides consistent fuel pressure to the engine via a boost pump.
  • Filters are replaceable and sometimes have a transparent bowl for easy monitoring.

Or

  • FASS = Fuel Air Separation System for diesel engines.
  • Filters dirt, rust, and water from fuel.
  • Protects injectors and engine.
  • Maintains consistent fuel pressure.
  • Water can be drained; filters are replaceable.

How does it work?

Fuel is drawn from the tank, passes through primary and secondary filters that remove water, air, and contaminants, and is delivered at consistent pressure to the engine.

  • Fuel is drawn from the tank by the FASS lift pump.
  • Fuel passes through primary and secondary filters to remove debris and water.
  • Water settles at the bottom and can be drained manually.
  • Boost pump ensures consistent fuel pressure to the engine.
  • Filtered fuel is delivered to the injection system, protecting injectors.
  • Filters are replaceable and easy to monitor for water or debris.

Or

  • Fuel is pumped from the tank through filters that remove debris and water.
  • Water collects at the bottom and can be drained.
  • Boost pump maintains consistent fuel pressure to the engine.
  • Clean fuel protects injectors and ensures proper engine performance.
