Are FASS Fuel Systems Universal?

One of the common questions we hear is: "Are FASS Fuel Systems universal?"

The answer is both yes and no.

Here at FASS, we offer a wide variety of fuel systems—and while some are designed specifically for particular trucks or engines, others can be adapted to work on virtually any diesel-powered application. That said, we'd like to explain the differences.

Most FASS Systems Are Application-Specific

The majority of FASS Fuel Systems are engineered for specific vehicles and engines.

These systems include:

  • Vehicle-specific brackets
  • Vehicle-specific plumbing
  • Vehicle-specific fittings
  • Vehicle-specific installation instructions

The goal is simple: make installation as straightforward as possible.

If you're shopping for a Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke, CAT, Detroit, or other supported application, there's a good chance we already offer a system designed specifically for your vehicle.

FASS Drop-In Series Fuel Systems

The Drop-In Series was developed for applications where the factory lift pump already provides sufficient fuel flow, but the owner wants significantly better fuel filtration and conditioning.

Drop-In systems:

  • Utilize the factory fuel pump
  • Add FASS filtration technology
  • Remove air and vapor from fuel
  • Remove over 99% of water contamination
  • Improve fuel quality and lubricity

These systems are application-specific and designed to install cleanly on supported vehicles.

Titanium Signature Series

The Titanium Signature Series is our flagship fuel system line and includes a dedicated FASS lift pump assembly.

These systems provide:

  • Air/vapor separation
  • Extreme Water Separation
  • 2-micron filtration
  • Consistent fuel pressure
  • Improved fuel lubricity

For many diesel owners, the Titanium Signature Series represents the ideal combination of fuel quality, reliability, and performance.

Titanium Signature Series PLUS

The newest evolution of our flagship product line is the Titanium Signature Series PLUS.

In addition to the premium black O-ring boss fittings customers already love, the PLUS Series now incorporates our new: Heat Sink Technology—which helps reduce motor operating temperatures by as much as 20°F.

Lower operating temperatures help support long-term durability while improving thermal management for our proven million-mile motor.

What Is a No-Drop Fuel System?

Both the Titanium Signature Series and Titanium Signature Series PLUS are available in No-Drop Configurations. The name "No-Drop" refers to the fact that these kits include our Single-Bolt Fuel Sump Kit—eliminating the need to lower the fuel tank during installation!

Beyond not needing to lower the fuel tank, No-Drop Kit benefits include:

  • Faster installation
  • Less labor
  • Consistent fuel pickup
  • Cleaner overall installation process

For many customers, the No-Drop option is the easiest and most convenient way to install a FASS system.

Industrial Series PLUS

For commercial, agricultural, industrial, and custom diesel applications, we make the Industrial Series PLUS. Like the Titanium Signature Series PLUS, the new Industrial Series PLUS now includes our integrated Heat Sink Technology.

The Industrial Series PLUS is ideal for:

  • Commercial trucks
  • Agricultural equipment
  • Generators
  • Industrial engines
  • Construction equipment
  • Custom diesel applications

Industrial Series PLUS Systems are available in both engine-specific and universal fitment kits.

So... Are FASS Fuel Systems Universal?

Some are. Many are not.

Our Drop-In Series, Titanium Signature Series, Titanium Signature Series PLUS, and No-Drop systems are typically designed for specific vehicles and engines to provide the easiest installation possible.

Meanwhile, our Industrial Series PLUS and various universal solutions can be adapted to a wide range of diesel-powered applications.

Whether you're driving a pickup truck, operating a commercial fleet, running agricultural equipment, or building a custom project, there's likely a FASS Fuel System designed to fit your needs.
